Digital Activism
Since 2020, ASEAN Youth Forum has encouraged youth across Southeast Asia to do digital activism through any platform. To encourage them, to fight for their rights in the simplest way, by using their gadgets, and their capabilities in creating a creative and exciting campaign.
In the first year, we have #11DaysSharing challenge. It’s an 11-day challenge of content posting on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) which covers a range of fun topics and some important youth advocacy issues in Southeast Asia. This project is initiated by our dearest friends from Vietnam, Zoe / Nguyen Phan Thuy Linh. In the second year, we have the #YouthCHERISH Challenge. It’s It’s a 5-day challenge of content posting on Instagram which covers a range of activism activities within the issue of the Right to a Sustainable, Clean, and Healthy Environment, collaborating with Raoul Wellenberg Institute. In the third year, we also have the #YouthCHERISH Challenge. This time we have a different concepts of challenge. We challenge the youth to create social media campaigns. It is a four-week challenge to create Instagram posts about Human Rights, Climate Change, Gender Equality, and Environment, collaborating with Raoul Wellenberg Institute
