Sexual and Reproductive Health of Youth in Malaysia

Since 2022, the ASEAN Youth Forum (AYF) Secretariat has focused on youth welfare across Southeast Asia, particularly in response to the impact of neoliberalism on access to essential services. Our recent report, “Awakening the ASEAN Youth: Unveiling the Tapestry of Welfare and Rights,” highlights disparities in access to education, healthcare, and essential services, with marginalized youth facing greater challenges. Issues like limited access to mental health, sexual and reproductive health services, and a lack of comprehensive sex education are critical concerns.

The AYF aims to address these challenges and push for regional solutions through strategic advocacy.
