Noor Hanisah, Ambassador of The Right to a Clean, Healthy, and Sustainable Environment
- 28 July 2022, IDEAS Webinar on Youths’ Perspective on the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) - What does it mean for local youths in AMS?
- Raised how the climate crisis is a common challenge that’s affecting ASEAN countries which has caused displacement, economic challenges, and health effects, and questions the concrete efforts by policymakers, corporates as well as youth that have been taken to address the situation. Shared Youth Recommendations for Environmental Action which was produced in collaboration with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute
- 6 & 8 September 2022, Asia Pacific Children and Youth Forum for DRR and Climate Action 2022
- Recommended that before disasters, authorities and communities should ensure a healthy, safe, and sustainable environment by protecting natural spaces and implementing practices/policies to penalize damage that leads to disasters to best safeguard the most vulnerable children (MVC). Shared the Youth Recommendations for Environmental Action which was produced in collaboration with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute
- Questioned the difference between investing and preparedness and the direct benefits of investing for children and youth, and presented discussion on how investments in DRR for children/youth would be mainly related to awareness, education, and training.
- 14 September 2022, Youth Model ASEAN Conference (YMAC) 2022 Opening Dialogue
- Presented motivations and struggles of climate advocacy as well as involvement with Singapore Youth for Climate Action & SEAYouth Festival 2022.
- Also shared AYF’s website and Instagram page as resources to refer to the collective statements, advocacy, and programs.
- 16 September 2022, ASEAN Bio-Circular-Green Economy Knowledge Sharing Series: Accelerating Clean Energy Transition for a Greener ASEAN
- Shared the Youth Collective Statement 2022 to solicit inputs on renewable energy.
